Are You Ever Too Old to Go Back to School?
Have you considered the possibility of returning to school to acquire a degree or to complete a degree you that you didn’t finish, but disregarded the notion for fear of being too old to return to school?
They say you can’t teach and old dog new tricks, but if you have ever watched Cesar Millan’s show, The Dog Whisperer, you know that’s not true. Despite what you may think, you are never too old to learn and you are never to old to go back to school.
A senior citizen named Nola Ochs graduated from Fort Hays State University, at 95, with a degree in General studies. Another senior citizen named Mozelle Richardson graduated from the University of Oklahoma, at age 90, with a degree in journalism.
The world’s oldest college graduate, Nola Ochs, graduated from Fort Hays State University in 2007. She was 95 years old when she graduated with a degree in General Studies!
The second oldest college graduate in the world is Mozelle Richardson. She received a degree in journalism at the age of 95 years from the University of Oklahoma in 2004.
If these women mustered the gumption to go back to school, so can you. Don’t be discouraged. Be inspired. Think of all of the possibilities. Weigh the pros and cons.
